Bonaparte Creek Restoration Project

Printer-friendly version

One of the best parts of my job is getting out to events and talking to folks about our projects here at the Okanogan Conservation District. This past Saturday, I spent the day at the Okanogan River Garlic Festival in Tonasket sharing information about the Bonaparte Creek Restoration Project. The District has been working with landowners on this project since 1997 to improve water quality in the creek by reducing pollution from various sources in the watershed.

On September 17 from 10-2 we will be having a creek clean-up volunteer event to get trash out of the creek. Join us! We’ll provide gloves, tools, and snacks. Contact us at 509-422-0855 ext 100 or kirstenc@okanogancd.org for more information or to sign up.
