Washington State Conservation Commission

The Washington State Conservation Commission is a state agency tasked with assisting Districts to implement their local programs.

OFP functions as an agency under the auspices of the Washington State Conservation Commission. OFP's mission is to promote the vitality of farming, farmers, and ranchers by ensuring that we will continue to have productive agricultural lands in Washington State. Washington Association of Conservation Districts

The Washington Association of Conservation Districts is the trade organization for the 47 Conservation Districts in Washington State.

USDA-NRCS Washington

The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is our federal partner in helping Districts bring voluntary conservation to local landowners.  

Methow Conservancy

Non-profit organization based in Winthrop dedicated to inspiring people to care for and conserve the land of the Methow Valley, ensuring it will remain a place where future generations can enjoy the rural character and natural beauty cherished today.

Okanogan Land Trust

The Okanogan Land Trust protects the Okanogan’s open space and working lands. The Trust accepts and manages conservation easements received from private land owners; engages the public in land conservation issues, projects and education; and helps owners preserve family land for future generations. 

Methow Recycles

Methow Recycles is a non-profit organization located in Twisp, WA. Check their website to find out what you can recycle and for links on other recycling facilities in the area.

Washington Water Project

Non-profit organization working directly with farmers and water-right holders to improve instream flows and water quality.  Also responsible for implementing Salmon-Safe certification for farms in the Central and Upper Columbia Basins.

"Food For All"

A program within the Food and Nutrition Division of the Okanogan County Community Action Council located in Okanogan, WA. Through "Food For All", OCCAC aims to educate residents of Okanogan County to attain a nutritious diet of healthy, local fruits and vegetables.

Okanogan Agricultural Library

A reference library open to the public by appointment. Located at 4 Western Ave N. in Tonasket. Categories include: agriculture, field crops, gardening, permaculture, organic farming, native plants, forestry, and many more. To set up an appointment, call 509-486-4056 or email michael@friendsofthetrees.net 

Okanogan Highlands Alliance

Okanogan Highlands Alliance (OHA) is a grassroots conservation organization, working to protect the environment in the Okanogan Highlands since 1992. OHA works toward environmental protection via three program areas: mine monitoring, restoration and education.

 

Okanogan County Extension

Washington State University Extension engages people, organizations and communities to advance knowledge, economic well-being and quality of life by fostering inquiry, learning, and the application of research. 

Okanogan County Noxious Weed Control Board

The Weed Board's mission is to protect all lands in Okanogan County from the devastating impacts of non-native noxious weeds by promoting the control of invading noxious weeds through best management practices.
