Request for Bids: Culvert Replacement

The Okanogan Conservation District is accepting bids from contractors for a culvert replacement project.  

Bids must be submitted by June 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM.  

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly advised for anyone intending to submit a bid.

ONLINE Forest Stewardship Coached Planning

This spring, Washington State University Snohomish County Extension and the Washington Department of Natural Resources will take their flagship Forest Stewardship Coached Planning course online as a series of live, interactive webinars. Woodland owners are invited to participate in this seven-week online course, which will run Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., April 24th through June 5th.

Fishes of the Columbia Basin

District Business Update

The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors would like to inform the voting public that the incumbent, Albert Roberts, has been re-elected to the currently open seat by reason of being the only person filing for the position by the filing deadline.  Therefore, no poll site, absentee balloting or mail balloting will be performed pursuant to WAC 135-110-370.  For further information, please contact the District at (509) 422-0855 ext 5.

Movie Night in Tonasket: "Farmageddon"

Slow Food Okanogan presents Farmageddon, a film that looks at the negative impacts of agribusiness and regulatory agencies on small family farms, especially those who begin adding value to their crop. Farmageddon explores why this is happening, who benefits and what can be done about it.
