2014 Election Notice

The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors hereby informs the voting public that the incumbent has been re-elected to the currently open seat by reason of being the only person filing for the position by the filing deadline.  Therefore, no poll site, absentee balloting or mail balloting will be performed pursuant to WAC 135-110-370.  For further information, please contact the District at (509) 422-0855 ext. 5.

Date Change for July Board Meeting

The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors will be conducting a special meeting on July 2, 2013 to discuss their monthly activities.  This meeting is held in lieu of the standard Board of Supervisors meeting that was scheduled for July 11, 2013.  The meeting will be held in Okanogan, at the USDA Service Center, 1251 South 2nd Avenue, at 6:00 PM.  This meeting is open to the public.

Farm Service Agency Seeking Candidates

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency is looking for candidates for an upcoming grower-elected county committee election. FSA offices throughout the state will accept nominations through August 1, 2013. "This is a unique opportunity - to have direct influence on the delivery of federal farm programs," said Farm Service Agency State Executive Director Judy Olson. "FSA county committees make decisions which impact program payments.

Okanogan Conservation District Planning Documents Available for Comments

The board and staff of the Okanogan Conservation District recently revised our 5-year strategic plan and our annual plan of work in order to guide our actions over the next several years. 

If you would like to read and comment on the draft plans, please follow the links below. Public comment will close at 5:00 PM on April 26 so we may compile the comments and present them to our Board of Supervisors at their May meeting.
