Okanogan Conservation District is holding a Firewise workshop in Twisp on Saturday May 17 from 10 am-12 pm. The workshop will be at the TwispWorks conference room, 502 S. Glover Street, Twisp, WA.

Okanogan County's first nationally recognized Firewise Community is hosting an amazing array of events for National Wildfire Preparedness Day on May 3rd from 9 am to 3 pm. The Chiliwist Yard Sale starts at 9, with proceeds to support Okanogan Fire District 3 (Malott). Firewise programs from multiple agencies start at 10.
The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors hereby informs the voting public that the incumbent has been re-elected to the currently open seat by reason of being the only person filing for the position by the filing deadline. The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors will be conducting a special meeting on July 2, 2013 to discuss their monthly activities. This meeting is held in lieu of the standard Board of Supervisors meeting that was scheduled for July 11, 2013. The meeting will be held in Okanogan, at the USDA Service Center, 1251 South 2nd Avenue, at 6:00 PM. This meeting is open to the public.
The board and staff of the Okanogan Conservation District recently revised our 5-year strategic plan and our annual plan of work in order to guide our actions over the next several years.
